The UK government has updated its list of licensed companies
and organizations approved to sponsor the relocation of skilled workers.
As of January 2023, there are 99,856 approved companies on the list, up 31,226 from the previous month. The businesses are in a variety of industries, including technology, business, education, media, advertising, and engineering. The skilled worker route encompasses international athletes, worldwide business mobility, senior workers, creative professionals, and charitable workers. On January 12, 2024, the most recent list was made public.
According to the UK government website, “This document lists worker and temporary worker
sponsors. It includes information about the category of workers they’re
licensed to sponsor and their sponsorship rating.
“The skilled worker route
includes charity workers, skilled workers, creative workers, global business
mobility: senior or specialist workers, and international sportspersons.”
Effective January 2024, the United Kingdom has imposed a
visa ban on dependents. This ban affects certain companies, including 0xA
