London City Airport To Be Reopened After 3 Month Closure

After three month closure, London City Airport is set to be reopened on June 21 with the first flights being domestic.
The airport says international routes will return in July and tickets are already on sale.
When operation begins, access will be limited to only passengers holding a valid ticket on the day of travel. All passengers will be asked to wear face masks while at the airport. Other measures include:
  • An enhanced cleaning regime, including a long-life anti-microbial surface treatment called Zonitise, used throughout the airport
  • Touch-free hand sanitiser stations
  • One-way systems
  • Perspex screens at key points of interaction, such as check-in desks
  • Clear signage and floor markings to help maintain social distancing and guide you through the airport
  • Advance crowd monitoring technology to identify and manage busy areas, using CrowdVision
  • Non-contact, automatic temperature checking technology for rapid preliminary screening
  • Staff using face masks or visors and gloves
London City Airport announced the suspension of activities for both commercial and private flights on March 25, in order to curb the spread of Covid-19 pandemic.
