Saudi Arabia has introduced a new Package Visa initiative designed to simplify travel planning for international visitors by combining visa applications with essential travel services under a single booking process. The move is expected to make it easier for tourists to arrange their trips while enhancing the overall visitor experience.

The new system allows eligible travellers to book their tourist visa alongside flights, accommodation at licensed hotels, and a range of tourism experiences through approved travel providers. By integrating these services into one package, visitors can complete much of their travel planning through a single platform, reducing the complexity often associated with international travel.

The initiative is being launched as a pilot programme in selected international markets, where qualified travel agencies and service providers will offer curated travel packages tailored to different visitor preferences. These packages are designed to provide a seamless journey from the booking stage through arrival and throughout the visitor’s stay in the Kingdom.

The Package Visa forms part of Saudi Arabia’s broader efforts to strengthen its tourism sector and attract more international visitors. Nigeria Grants 30-Day Visa-Free Entry to Rwandans

In a major initiative aimed at fostering strong diplomatic relations and boosting economic cooperation, the Federal Republic of Nigeria has now implemented a 30-day visa-free entry policy for the nationals of Rwanda.

This policy will act as the reciprocation of an existing arrangement that ensures that citizens of Nigeria receive the same 30-day visa-free facility while visiting Rwanda.

Important Aspects of the Policy

Length of Stay: Nationals of Rwanda can visit Nigeria and stay there without holding any visa for a period of 30 days.

Activities Allowed: The policy permits the entry of Rwandan nationals into Nigeria for legitimate activities such as tourism, business visits, commerce, investment opportunities, official engagements, and cultural interactions.

Status of the Policy Implementation: The policy has been fully implemented by the Nigeria Immigration Service and is now operational in all the international airports, land borders, and ports of Nigeria.

Policy Context and Other Implications

The policy has been concluded after the bilateral discussions held at the Urugwiro Presidential Villa in Kigali by the Nigerian President, Bola Ahmed Tinubu, and the Rwandan President, Paul Kagame. These discussions took place during the Africa CEO Forum.

Apart from making travel easier, this joint agreement also aims to foster people-to-people links and improve trade within Africa. This is an important milestone towards achieving greater integration on the continent through the African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA).
