While it is not mandatory in many countries' law for travellers to put on face masks on flight, it is fast becoming a rule among the airlines, which any traveller who wish to fly must comply with.
American Airlines has sanctioned a passenger who refused to wear a face mask.
The passenger, whose name is Brandon Straka was supposed to travel from New York to Dallas.
Straka was ordered off the flight by the airline after he refused to wear a face covering.
“We are committed to protecting the safety and well being of our customers and entire members, which is why we strengthened enforcement of our policy for required face coverings on board".
“It is mandatory for customers who choose to fly with us to comply with these policies, and if necessary, we will deny future travel for customers who refuse to do so". American Airlines spokesperson said.

Travel restriction is a step we take very seriously and will take effect after a comprehensive review of the facts of incident. Straka will be allowed to fly with us once face coverings are no longer required for travellers.
