14 Airports Resume Domestic Flight Operations

Nigeria's Minister of Aviation, Hadi Sirika, on Sunday announced that 14 airports across the nation had resumed full domestic flight operations.


Sirika, who disclosed this on his Twitter handle @hadisirika, said "Glad to announce that the following airports are open for full domestic operations, hence ministerial approval in and out of them not required. This includes private and charter operations.  We will keep you informed on the reminder airports in due course, please".

The 14 airports approved for the resumption of domestic flight operations are Murtala Muhammed International Airport Lagos, Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport Abuja, Mallam Aminu Kano International Airport Kano, Port Harcourt International Airport Omagwa, Sam Mbakwe Airport Owerri, Maiduguri Airport Maiduguri, Victor Attah Airport Uyo and Kaduna Airport. 
Others are Yola Airport, Margaret Ekpo Airport Calabar, Sultan Abubakar Airport Sokoto, Birni Kebbi Airport, Yakubu Gowon Airport Jos. and Benin Airport.
The Minister concluded that inspection had been completed in these airports and resumption of flight operations approved.
