Delta Banned 100 Passengers For Not Wearing Masks

Delta Airlines has reportedly banned more than 100 passengers for not wearing face masks since the introduction of the 'anti-masker no-fly' policy.

Delta Air Lines' anti-masker no-fly list has increased to more than 100 passengers. Report says.
The airline has been cracking down on travelers who refuse to wear a face mask during a flight.

It started in May, requiring travelers to mask up.

"We have been steadily and rather aggressively stepping up our enforcement of the mask policy. You cannot board a Delta plane unless you have a mask on. If you board the plane and you insist on not wearing your mask, we will insist that you don't fly Delta into the future. We already have over 100 people we've put on that list," CEO Ed Bastian said.

A passenger may take off face coverings only when eating or drinking.
Many have used a medical condition as a way of not wearing a mask, and last week Delta moved to plug the 'loophole.'
"We implemented a new procedure because we've had some customers indicate that they have underlining conditions that make wearing a mask dangerous for them," Bastian said.
This entails a 'virtual consultation' with a medical professional by phone who will determine whether it is a genuine medical issue.
"The customer will talk to the doctor before they get on the plane to actually have it validated that they indeed cannot wear a mask".
