Seychelles Reopens To Tourism, Welcomes 3 Airlines From 1 August

Seychelles has reopened to tourism and will be welcoming three airlines starting 1 August 2020.

Seychelles has since June 1 reopened its border for tourists from seventeen countries after it was able to quickly respond and contain the deadly virus when it first recorded its first two cases on 14 March, and reached its peak on 6 April, with 11 cases. The country has decided to reopen tourism in a staged process.
The seventeen countries currently being allowed into Seychelles for the purposes of tourism are quite a mixed bag. They vary from countries in the Middle East, Asia, Europe, and the South Pacific, but they all share something in common; they’re all are considered ‘low risk’ due to low incidences of cases, responsiveness from the countries' health system.
The low-risk countries allowed to travel to Seychelles are Belgium, China, Cyprus, Estonia, Finland, Iceland, Hungary, Ireland, Japan, Latvia, Lithuania, Malta, Mauritius, Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, and Thailand.
Other countries allowed to travel to Seychelles that are being considered as medium risk countries are France, Austria. Canada. Cuba, Czech Republic, Denmark, Germany, Greece, Italy, Luxembourg, Malaysia, Monaco, Singapore, Slovakia, Slovenia, South Korea, Spain, Sri Lanka,  Switzerland, and the UAE.
Just like the UK and EU, Americans are not yet welcomed into Seychelles.
Since this announcement was first made in late May, only both private jets and commercial passenger flights were allowed to fly into Seychelles from the approved countries.
On Friday 17 July, the government of Seychelles made another announcement welcoming three airlines into the country starting August 1.
Etihad Airways which will be doing two flights per week - on Mondays and Fridays.
Ethiopian Airlines will also make two flights a week.
Seychelles' national carrier, Air Seychelles, will be flying to Dubai twice a week also starting from August 1. While  Swiss airline will be flying to Seychelles from September this year.

All passengers must bring with them a negative PCR test. The government has made it very clear that any traveler without this proof of test will be turned back on the same aircraft.
Visitors from the LOW-RISK countries can bring a negative PCR test no older than 72 hours from the date of travel, but if one is not available, a rapid test is also approved.
Visitors from the MEDIUM RISK countries can only bring a negative PCR test no older than 72 hours of the date of travel.
Arriving passengers will be subject to temperature scans, symptom checks, and potentially random swabbings
