175 Stranded Nigerians Evacuated From Uganda


No fewer than 175 stranded Nigerians have been evacuated from Uganda. The evacuees arrived at the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport Abuja on Thursday 13, August 2020.

This was made known on the official twitter page of the Nigerians in Diaspora Commission NiDCOM.

NiDCOM twitted as follows:

“EVACUATION UPDATE: 175 Stranded Nigerians arrived at Nnamdi Azikiwe Int’l Airport, Abuja at about 1305HRS from Uganda, today Thursday, Aug. 13, 2020, via Galistair,”

“They all tested Negative to #COVID-19 and will proceed on a 14-day SELF-ISOLATION as mandated by @NCDCgov and PTF on #COVID-19.”
