COVID-19: Stranded Nigerians In Sudan, Dubai & UK Arrive Home

Evacuation Update: Hundreds of stranded Nigerians evacuated from Sudan, Dubai, and the UK.

Eighty-seven Nigerians stranded in Sudan arrived at the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport, Abuja, today Saturday, August 8. The 87 evacuees who arrived at the FCT via Air Sudan around 09:15HRS have proceeded on 14-day self-isolation as directed by NCDC and PTF on Covid-19. 

Another 311 evacuees from the UAE via Air Peace arrived at the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport, Abuja, at about 1150HRS on Saturday 8 August. Some of them disembarked in Abuja while others proceeded to MM2 International Airport Lagos. All the evacuees tested negative to COVID-19 and now on 14-day self-isolation.


Also, another set of stranded Nigerian Nationals departed from London Gatwick Airport on Saturday Morning. They will be arriving at Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport, Abuja via Air Peace Airline at about 18:00HRS and will be proceeding on 14-day self-isolation as well.
