PCR Test Required For Arriving Passengers As Ghana Reopens International Airport

Authorities at the Ghana international airport (KIA), have announced that the PCR test is required for all arriving visitors as the country prepares to reopen its international airspace on the 1st of September.

Passengers arriving at Kotoka international airport Accra, will not need to quarantine but must undergo the PCR test at one of the over 70 sampling collection centers located at the arriving hall of the airport with results being ready within 15 minutes.
However, passengers should note that they are the ones to bear the cost of the tests, estimated to be between GH₵200-400 or between $34.57- 69.14 depending on the rate of exchange.

Passengers who tested negative for the virus would be cleared by the port health to proceed to the immigration where they will be welcomed into the country.
Those who tested positive will be handed over to the port health authorities for treatment or proceed to the isolation centers.
