Virgin Atlantic Adds Lagos and Four Other Destinations To Its Network in September.
London based carrier, Virgin Atlantic says it will resume flight operations to Lagos in September as it rebuilds its network amid coronavirus pandemic. Apart from Lagos, the airline is also adding four more cities to its network in September. The cities are Atlanta, Tel Aviv, The Indian city of Delhi, and Mumbai.
The new five destinations will be added to the existing New York JFK, Los Angeles, Miami, Barbados, Hong Kong, and Shanghai which had resumed since July.
The carrier resumed back passengers' services on July 20 after four months grounding due to the outbreak of the Covid-19 pandemic.
Virgin Atlantic chief commercial officer Juha Jarvinen says: “We’re continually reviewing our network and as countries begin to open up their borders, we’re introducing more and more flying".
“We’re incredibly excited to resume services to Delhi, Tel Aviv, Atlanta, Mumbai, and Lagos this September as well as increasing the frequency to other destinations. We’re now offering daily flights to New York JFK and Los Angeles and twice-weekly flights to Shanghai.” Jarvinen added.
