The Dubai Immigration service is presently granting a fine waiver to all visa holders, both residents, and tourists in the country.
The fine waiver scheme is for those whose visas expired after March 1st, 2020. The affected people are being relieved of every fine by legalizing and changing their status inside the UAE. They also have the option of exiting the country without having to pay fines or being banned from entering the UAE.
Those who fall into the category are to check their overstay status to know if their fines have been waved. If waived, they are to apply for a three-month visa change inside the country not later than March 10, 2021, or exit the country.
Failure to legalize visa status on or before the stipulated date will find the fine reinstated. The authorities said.
