Kenya Airways has announced that it will suspend its flight operations to the UK starting from Friday, January 9.
Kenya Airways' decision to suspend UK's operations follows the move by the UK to ban Kenyan visitors from landing into the country over the rising cases of coronavirus infections.
The national carrier has just added two more flights on Wednesday and Thursday to its operations following a high demand for travel to the UK.
Kenya Airways says it will suspend all its flight operations to the UK from Friday till further notice.
According to the airline, "the suspension is due to the directive issued by the government of Kenya suspending all the flights from the UK effective midnight April 9, 2021."
The British High Commission had earlier informed Kenya of its plans to add Kenya to its Covid-19- related quarantine list.
Affected passengers may change their booking for later travel or request a refund with all penalties waived. Kenya Airways said.
