NAHCON To Refund Pilgrims' Doposits As Nigerians Miss Out On 2021 Hajj

The National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON) has assured Nigerian pilgrims of a quick refund of their deposits as the authorities in the kingdom of Saudi Arabia cancel the Hajj 2021.

NAHCON disclosed this after Saudi authorities announced on Saturday that international pilgrims will not be welcomed in the country as a part of the Hajj 2021.

Muslims from across the world, who have prepared for this year's hajj exercise will not be opportune to observe the spiritual obligation in the holy land. Saudi authorities said.

This will be the second consecutive time the hajj would be canceled due to the impact of the coronavirus pandemic.

This year’s pilgrimage would only be opened for nationals and residents of the kingdom and will be limited to 60,000 pilgrims. The hajj ministry says.

It added that this year's pilgrimage scheduled to hold in July would be limited to those who are under the age of 65 years, free from illness, and have been vaccinated.
