Turkey Suspends Flights From 6 Countries

The Turkish government has suspended flights from 6 destinations over the new variants of the coronavirus. Turkish Interior Ministry says on Monday. 


The affected countries are Bangladesh, Brazil, South Africa, India, Nepal, and Sri Lanka.

According to the reports, the novel coronavirus has infected more than 182 million people and killed over 3.9 million. 

Turkey which announced the further easing of Covid-19 restrictions effective from July 1, as part of normalization from the impact of the global pandemic disclosed that arrivals from other countries but have been in the countries listed within the last 14 days will need to show a negative PCR test within a maximum of 72 hours before entry and they will need to quarantine for 14 days. While those arriving from Pakistan and Afghanistan or who have been there in the last 14 days will have to quarantine in Turkey for 10 days upon arrival in the country.

It added that those coming from the United Kingdom, Iran, Egypt, and Singapore will need to show a negative PCR test within 72 hours prior to arrival.
