The United States Government has officially announced the easing of travels restrictions for all vaccinated international travelers starting from November 2021.
This also includes travelers from the countries currently affected by the U.S. travel ban.
Travelers must also undergo the COVID-19 test within 3 days before departure and results must be negative. Contact tracing, Face masking will be required and travelers will no longer undergo a mandated quarantine.
The White House COVID-19 response Coordinator, Jeff Zients in a statement stated that "This vaccination requirement deploys the best tool we have in our arsenal to keep people safe and prevent the spread of the virus.”
The United States is now among the countries to lift the ban on nonessential travel which has been in place since early 2020.
Meanwhile, Air France-KLM has said that it will quickly add capacity as the U.S. announces an easing of foreign travel restrictions for fully vaccinated travelers. This was disclosed by the CEO of the Airline, Ben Smith while speaking on 'Bloomberg Markets'.
Smith says they are very happy about the U.S. reopening of the borders for the vaccinated.
