The airline says it plans to recruit in segments including cyber security, hybrid cloud, and software engineering. It also plans to fill technical product management, DevOps, hybrid cloud, modern architecture, service management, digital workplace, agile delivery, and innovation roles.
According to Adel Al Redha, chief operating officer of Emirates in a statement issued by the Dubai Media Office, "Emirates continues to invest in technologies and introduce innovative solutions that are based on artificial intelligence, data, and other smart solutions to deliver our products and serve our loyal customers in the most efficient and flexible manner."
Emirates plans to strengthen its workforce is beyond its local and internal programmes as it has stepped up its recruitment plans after the air traffic improves.
The carrier which has restored more than 90 percent of its network says is set to employ more than 6,000 workers across its network after its earlier announcement in September that it would hire over 3,000 cabin crew and 500 airport services workers.
