Spain Extended COVID-19 Entry Requirements For Non-European Countries

Covid-19 entry requirements for all travelers from non-European Union countries have been extended by Spanish authorities until November 15. The news was confirmed by the Spanish Ministry of Health.

Following Spanish regulations, all travelers above the age of 12 from non-European countries, including those from the United Kingdom, must provide proof of COVID to be permitted to enter Spain without restriction.

The Ministry issued a statement. "Passengers (except for children under the age of 12 and those in international transit) arriving from countries that do not belong to the European Union or are not considered Schengen associated countries must show an EU Digital Covid Certificate or EU equivalent or the SpTH QR, to pass the health controls on arrival in Spain."

According to the Ministry, a vaccination certificate is valid as long as it can be shown that the owner has had a booster shot or completed primary vaccination within the last 270 days. The recovery certificate will be approved if the holder has tested positive for the virus during the previous six months. The PCR and fast antigen tests must be completed within 72 and 24 hours, respectively, before traveling to Spain. All travelers from foreign countries must fill out the Health Control Form before traveling to Spain and present one of the documents specified above.

According to data from the World Health Organization, 14,885 new COVID infection cases were reported in Spain over the past seven days. 376 deaths were reported in the nation over the same time frame. A total of 102,924,722 doses of the COVID vaccination have been delivered by the European Centre for Disease Prevention and Control.
