Amsterdam Schiphol Airport (AMS) in the Netherlands and Rennes Bretagne Airport (RNS) in northwestern France plans to change their operators in the next few days.
Currently, Air France operates along this corridor, but starting on March 26th, KLM, a SkyTeam partner, will take over the service.
According to data, Air France has five daily direct flights
to Amsterdam: Monday, Wednesday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. On most days,
except Sunday, flight AF1030 is scheduled to leave Rennes
Bretagne Airport at 10:20 local time. The Amsterdam-Rennes flights (AF1031)
depart the Dutch capital at 12:35 or 11:40 on Sundays and arrive back in
Rennes at 14:05 or 13:10 local time, respectively. On days when direct flights
aren't available, travelers can travel from Amsterdam to Rennes via its hub at
Paris Charles de Gaulle Airport in under four hours (CDG). The journey can also
be completed in less than six hours by taking the rail to CDG and then a flight
to Schiphol.
With daily flights beginning on March 26th, KLM Cityhopper
will replace Air France Hop on the Rennes-Amsterdam route. These flights will
be part of later rotations; KL1255 will depart Amsterdam at 14:25 and arrive in
Rennes at 16:30. KL1256 will leave on Sundays at 11:45 and 13:50 and 15:30,
respectively. With two 88-seat Embraer E175 aircraft and two 76-seat Embraer
E170 aircraft, the Netherlands regional carrier will have a little more
capacity than Air France Hop.
With direct Lufthansa CityLine flights operating 90-seat
Bombardier CRJ900s to Frankfurt (FRA), Rennes will soon see improved
connectivity.
