Turkish Airlines has disclosed its plans to partner with Air India to increase frequencies in the Indian market.
Bilal Eksi, the CEO and board member of Turkish Airlines, while expressing concerns over the air traffic regulations limiting the flight capacity between Türkiye and India, says that they are finding a possible solution through cooperation with Indian airlines as the carrier makes moves to expand in the region.
Eksi made a case for further collaboration with Indian airlines, saying that Turkish Airlines could work with Air India because doing so would benefit both countries' economies and the travel industry.
"We are
not getting enough of the Indian market. we are trying to expand. This is the
time for Turkish Airlines to expand operations in India," he stated.
He pointed
out that there wasn't enough space between Turkiye, where many Indians also
hold weddings, and India.
"We can work together with Air India, can earn together, and support both countries," he added.
