Germany has introduced a new visa for job seekers to draw in highly qualified individuals from around the globe. With this visa, job seekers can look for
jobs globally and convert their visa into a work visa if they find a position
that meets their qualifications.
The eligibility requirements for a German job seeker visa include having at least five years of work experience, a degree from a German university, documentation of their ability to pay for their stay in the nation, and other requirements. If accepted, the applicant can stay in Germany for up to six months while looking for jobs, but they are not allowed to work.
The German Job Seeker Visa requires completion of an
academic or vocational training program, five years of work experience,
financial means to support oneself, a degree recognized in Germany, a visa
application form, documentation of housing, financial support, academic degree,
and health insurance, a valid passport, two passport-sized photographs, a
resume, and a cover letter. The application fee is €75 or $6,351.50. A job
offer from a German business and an annual income of at least 48180 Euros is
required to obtain a work visa. The minimum yearly salary for those working
in mathematics, computer technology, the natural sciences,
engineering, and human medicine is 45552 euros.
A settlement permit application can be made after 21 months
of residency in Germany or 33 months of EU Blue Card possession. People with a
solid command of the German language and a minimum of five years of legal
residence in Germany are eligible for a Permanent EU Residence Permit. Germany
Holders of a settlement permit are eligible for citizenship if they have lived
legally in Germany for at least eight years and possess a sufficient command of
the language. Applicants must renounce their prior nationality after becoming
naturalized.
