Bola Tinubu has signed the removal of the Chief
Executive Officers in the Federal Ministry of Aviation and Aerospace
Development, including Kabir Yusuf Mohammed, Managing Director of the Federal
Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN), and replaced him with Mrs Olubunmi
Oluwaseun Kuku as substantive Managing Directors.
In addition, Mr. Tayib Adetunji Odunowo, the Managing Director of the Nigerian Airspace Management Agency (NAMA), has been dismissed from office and replaced as the substantive Managing Director of NAMA by Engr. Umar Ahmed Farouk. Engr. Akinola Olateru, the Director-General of the Nigerian Safety Investigation Bureau (NSIB), has been dismissed from office and replaced as the substantive Director-General of the Nigerian Safety Investigation Bureau by Mr Alex Badeh Jr.
The changes also affect Prof.
Mansur Bako Matazu, Director-General of the Nigerian Meteorological Agency
(NiMET). He has been removed from office, and
Prof. Charles Anosike has been appointed as NiMET's substantive
Director-General.
By Section 13(2) of the Nigerian College of Aviation Technology
Act, 2022, the Rector of the Nigerian College of Aviation Technology (NCAT),
Capt. Alkali Mahmud Modibbo has been removed from office, and Mr Joseph Shaka
Imalighwe has been appointed as the Acting Rector of the Nigerian College of
Aviation Technology (NCAT), pending the appointment of a substantive Rector.
