Germany has announced that is offering a fully-funded SBW
Berlin Scholarship 2024 program to international students from developing
countries who demonstrate social commitment and use their skills in social
projects at non-profit organizations.
This scholarship offers a monthly salary, housing allowance, travel reimbursement, and a full tuition remission for both graduate and undergraduate study. The program's goal is to assist gifted youth from underdeveloped nations.
SBW Berlin provides financial assistance to young people
from abroad who are facing financial difficulties so they can study in Germany
as part of its global educational programs. These students support long-term
non-profit organizations back home by using their expertise and abilities. In
addition to reimbursement for travel costs both before and after the study,
accommodations are offered, along with a cost of living allowance.
Candidates for the Master's degree program must meet the
following requirements: they must have experience in the non-profit sector,
have a minimum German grade point average of 2.0, be enrolled in a
state-recognized university, or be pursuing a Master's degree after or before a
Bachelor's degree. Additional requirements include having worked or volunteered
in the nonprofit or social sector, not having lived in Germany for more than 18
months before applying, having a degree from an accredited university,
intending to work for at least 18 months in the applicant's home country after
graduation, having a demonstrated low net income, and having no immediate
family members who currently reside in Germany.
Candidates must first submit a letter of motivation or recommendation which will be carefully reviewed. Recipients of the letters will then be given access to the online application portal. The application dates are, respectively, May 15 through June 30 and November 15 through December 31.
