The UAE's Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation
(MOHRE) has recommenced the issuance of work permits for specific occupations
that were previously halted.
For qualified professionals looking for a new job or changing employers, this is a good development. Public relations representatives announced that work permit applications that had been delayed are now being completed without any problems, which is a relief for businesses and professionals with the necessary skills who have been dealing with delays and uncertainty for the past few weeks.
According to recent reports, certain Professionals of Other
Nationalities (PROs) have had their work permits approved without any issues,
which is good news for both the applicants and the employers. A public
relations manager at a business services organization in Dubai said that, as of
January 24, offer letters can be prepared without prompts requesting different
nations, and the procedure is being finished promptly for qualified experts
from all nationalities.
There are two primary procedures in the United Arab Emirates
for obtaining a work permit and visa: the "inside country job offer
letter" and the "inside transfer application." The "inside
transfer application" enables UAE-based workers to change employers
without having to leave the nation. In contrast, the "inside country job
offer" applies to candidates who have received a new job offer and
are based in the UAE. This expedites the procedure for people looking for new
jobs in the mainland United Arab Emirates.
The restart of work permit processing was also confirmed by
Horizon Gate Government Transactions Center representatives. An official
confirmed, "We were not able to apply for those work permits earlier due
to the diversity quota, but we are now able to do so as of yesterday, January
24.”
