The CEO of Delta Airline, Ed Bastian, has said that about 500 staff of the company have tested positive for corona virus.
Bastian, confirmed this during the annual shareholder's meeting of the company.
“We lost ten employees to the Coronavirus, every one of them breaks my heart. Among other 500 employees who contracted the virus, the vast majority have recovered.” Bastian said in a statement.
Bastian also spoke about economic impact of the coronavirus pandemic. Saying, the aviation industry has been hit badly as demand for air travel dropped to almost zero.
According to him, it could take two to three years to recover revenue and return to a new level.

DeleteI'm really sorry for the loss of lives of some Delta airlines staff. I also hope that the Federal govt will not be too hasty in opening air space but will adhere to all health precautionary measure to avoid further spread of the Coronavirus
