Emirates and Etihad Add More Flights as UAE Ends Transit Ban

UAE carrier, Emirates airline announced on Thursday that it has added 16 more destinations to its network as it simultaneously resumes connecting flights through its Dubai hub. The news follows a similar announcement from it's UAE rival, Etihad on Thursday morning, that it has increased it's network to 20 more destinations after the suspension of transit ban by the UAE government.
Many airlines are now making a big push to start resuming services. As travel bans are slowly being lifted, and quarantine periods disappear, it seems as though travel industry can begin to recover.

However, rather than a quick bounce back, a return to normality may be a slow but steady climb. In line with this, Emirates on Thursday announced more flights that will operate from June 15th.
Emirates had already been offering limited connecting flights between the UK and Australia.
In the mean time, the Government of the UAE has announced that restrictions which it placed on transit services as a result of the outbreak of corona virus will now be lifted. Both airlines, Emirates and Etihad will be allowing passengers that meet travel and immigration requirements of their respective destination countries to travel via UAE.
In addition to the resumption of transit flights, Emirates is also adding 16 more routes to its existing 9 network which it started on the 21 May.

The new destinations added by Emirates are Amsterdam, Bahrain, Brisbane, Copenhagen, Dublin, Hong Kong, Jakarta, Kuala Lumpur, Manchester, New York (JFK), Perth, Singapore, Seoul, Taipei, Vienna, and Zurich
While it's rival, Etihad's 20 destinations are Amsterdam, Barcelona, Brussels, Dublin, Frankfurt, Geneva, London, Madrid, Milan, Paris, Zurich, Jakarta, Karachi, Kuala Lumpur, Manila, Melbourne, Seoul, Singapore, Sydney and Tokyo.
While Etihad will be operating from June 10th, Emirate will start operating from June 15th
