IATA Urges Government To Rescue Aviation Sector
The International Air Transport Association (IATA), has urged Governments across the world to financially support the airline industry.
IATA has earlier predicted that 2020 will go down as the worst year in the history of aviation. Saying, airline industry are expected to lose $84.3 billion in 2020. According to IATA, the industry will continue to struggle in a bid to overcome the effect of Covid-19 pandemic. IATA has again called on Governments across the world, to rescue the industry that is already sinking. "financial relief was and remains crucial as airlines burn through cash". Alexandre de Juniac, IATA’s Director General and CEO said.
