PTF Gives Updates On International Flight

The Presidential Task Force (PTF) on the Coronavirus (COVID-19) has on Monday said it is working with the Federal Ministry of Aviation to achieve the early reopening of international flight operations.

Chairman of the PTF and Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF), Mr. Boss Mustapha, disclosed this during a media briefing by the task force in Abuja, on Monday 27 July, says the arrival protocols for passengers on inbound flights are already being strengthened.
He added that various functionaries of government would be holding further consultations on it.
“Considering the importance of international air travel to the economy, the PTF and the Aviation Sector are working hard to fast track reopening of the international airspace".
“Most importantly, the arrival protocols for passengers on inbound flights are being firmed up for seamless testing and detection. Relevant MDAs will be holding further consultations,” he said.

National Association of Nigerian Travel Agencies (NANTA) has been calling on the government for support and reopening of international aerospace, saying life has been tough and miserable for most of it's members ever since the federal government placed a ban on the international flights in March to contain the spread of coronavirus pandemic.
