British Airways is set to become the first airline in Europe to carry out pre-flight Covid-19 tests for passengers. The airline is reportedly working with Boots to offer some passengers coronavirus tests before traveling, in a bid to make air travel safer this summer.
The carrier said it was looking at all options to make travel as safe and stress-free as possible for customers in these unprecedented times.
BA is said to be working with Boots, who will conduct the Covid-19 testing at several pharmacies across the UK.
Sources also confirmed that the training for Boots colleagues will begin next week.
More airlines could follow suit in a bid to restore confidence among travellers.
