Poland’s government has revealed plans to extend the sanction it placed on international air flights until 8 September 2020.
The country which closed its border to international flights some months ago in order to contain the spread of the coronavirus pandemic says countries like China, Russia, Singapore, Serbia, and some others will be deleted from the current list while Belgium, Spain, Romania, and India are to be included.
Currently, 63
countries are planned to be on the list. Poland had initially banned 44
countries. The newly added countries are Aruba, Belize, Venezuela, Gibraltar,
Monaco, Belgium, Spain, Libya, French Polynesia, Albania, the Philippines, the
Gambia, India, Lebanon, Malta, Namibia, Paraguay, San Marino, Romania, Sint
Maarten, Guam, Turks and Caicos Islands, Puerto Rico, the U.S. Virgin Islands,
and the Faroe Islands.
China, Russia, Singapore, Serbia, Gabon, and São Tomé and
PrÃncipe will be removed from the list.
The ban does not include flights ordered for or taking place
with the permission of the Prime Minister, as well as military flights.
The decree is to take effect on Wednesday, August 26.
