UAE Grants 1 Month Extension Grace for Expired Visas

The UAE Federal Authority for Identity and Citizenship, ICA has announced a month extension grace period on visit visas that expired after 1 March 2020.

The one month period of grace that will take effect from 11 August 2020 is to enable visitors with expired visas to leave the country and exempt them from all resulting fines.

The decision taken by the authority is part of the national initiatives launched by the UAE and is in implementation of the UAE's Cabinet related decisions and regulations of entry and residency of foreigners.
