Airline Suspended From Dubai Over Covid-19 Patients

All operations of Air Indian Express have been suspended from UAE by the Dubai Civil Aviation Authority until Friday, October 2 as the airline was found flying COVID-19, infected passengers into the country.

Reports have it that Air Indian Express flew Covid-19 positive passenger into the country on the 4 September which is contrary to the laid down rules. It was also gathered that it wasn't the first time that such an offense would be committed by the same airline during the pandemic. 

According to the communication from Dubai's aviation regulator, "Boarding a passenger with COVID-19 positive test result for the second time, is contrary to and is in violation of the laid down procedures and/or protocols related to air travel to and from airports in the Emirate of Dubai, during the coronavirus SARS Cov. 2 pandemic."

"Therefore, all operation of Air India Express to Dubai Airports is temporarily suspended, for two weeks, effective from 00:01 hrs on Friday 18 September 2020 until 23:59 hrs of 2 October 2020," it says.

Apart from the suspension, the carrier will still have to settle every medical bill and quarantine of the passengers and other passengers on board as well as any other expenditure connected, as the case may be.
