Kenyan Airways has announced it will commence Nigeria flight operations effect from 16 September 2020.
Kenya Airways' decision to resume Nigeria operations follows the Federal Government pronouncement on the reopening of Nigeria's airspace for international flights, starting from Saturday, September 5.
The KQ sales manager, Christopher Isaiah, stated in a statement that "we are pleased to inform you that following the federal government pronouncement on the opening of the Nigerian airspace for international travels, on the 5th September 2020, Kenya Airways will commence flights into Nigeria effective 16th September 2020".
He added that the carrier will be resuming three weekly services to Nigeria as it has been "allotted slot for Wednesdays, Fridays, and Sundays".
"This will be reviewed upward as we get more slots and as traffic progresses". Isaiah stated.
The airline said it has put in place safety measures and all the required parameters to ensure smooth facilitation of business and the safety of passengers, guests, and staff, both at business premises and while onboard.
