Saudi Arabia has announced that it will now allow flights from all countries to fly through its aerospace to reach the United Arab Emirates (UAE).
In a statement released by the General Authority for Civil Aviation, Riyadh approved a request of the United Arab Emirates to allow all flights to and from the Gulf states to fly over Saudi Arabia’s airspace.
A video statement released by the Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu of Israel said:
“This will reduce the cost of flights, it will shorten the time, this will greatly develop tourism, it will develop our economy.”
The Prime Minister also added that the developments are products of real peace.
Netanyahu thanked US Presidential Adviser Jared Kushner and Abu Dhabi Crown Prince Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed for their important contribution towards opening up the airspace.
