South Africa Updates The List Of Countries Eligible For International Tourism

 After the reopening of international borders by the South African government on October 1, with the list of countries granted access into the SA, the Government has once again updated the list of countries allowed to enter South Africa, based on the health situation.

In the latest update, South Africa has only put 22 high-risk countries on its red list. Travelers from such countries are not allowed to enter into South Africa except they are excluded from the list in a future review or update.

The countries from which tourists are not allowed to visit South Africa, as from 19 October, 2020 are as follows:

Argentina, Bangladesh, Belgium, Brazil, Canada, Chile, Colombia, France, Germany, India, Indonesia, Iran, Iraq, Italy, and The Netherlands.

Others are Mexico, Peru, Philippines, Russia, Spain, The United Kingdom, and The United States of America.

More countries may still be added to the list if they experience a new surge in infections.

If your country is not enlisted, it means you are free to enter South Africa, provided you have a valid tourist visa.
