Nigeria’s Air Peace has begun Lagos - Johannesburg flight services on 17 December 2020 using its sole B777-200ER.
The airline which operated repatriation flights from many countries to Nigeria during the lockdown commenced a direct flight from Lagos to Johanessburg on Thursday 17 December.
Air Peace will be operating its two weekly services on Sundays and Thursdays and will be leaving Lagos at 01:00 (1AM) to arrive in Johannesburg at 08:00 (8AM), departs at 11:00 (11AM), and arrives back at 16:00 (4PM).
There have been no direct flights from Nigeria to South Africa after South African Airways announced its decision to suspend all its flights in March. The decision came after the government announced a nation-wide lockdown for 21 days aimed at combatting the spread of the Coronavirus pandemic.
