KENYAN E-VISA: A MUST FOR TRAVELERS

Kenya has finally enforced an Electronic visa (E-visa) policy on all travelers planning a visit to the country.

Kenya’s E-Visa policy has become a compulsory entry requirement for all travelers who require a visa to enter Kenya starting from January 2021.

Recall that Kenya introduced an e-Visa system on 2 July 2015. According to the government, an application should be done at least 7 days in advance and visitors can stay for up to 90 days with an e-visa. Travelers also had an option of obtaining their entrance visas on arrival.

However, the government of Kenya has now automated the issuance of visas with effect from January 2021.

All passengers wishing to visit Kenya from the countries that require visas to enter Kenya will be required to apply and obtain E-Visas before boarding their flights as visas will no longer be issued upon arriving in the country.
