Qatar Airways To Resume Dubai Flight Operations

Qatar Airways will any moment from now announce the resumption of flight operations back to the UAE.


The decision to resume operations back to the UAE follows the UAE's General Civil Aviation Authority (GCAA) announcement to reopen Qatar's airspace for the resumption of air traffic between the two countries.

According to the GCAA, work is ongoing to re-open all land, sea, and airports for inbound and outbound movement, and that all relevant authorities in the UAE have been notified of this development which will take effect from Saturday, January 9, 2021.

The development comes after the signing of the Al-Ula Declaration, which includes an agreement for permanent solidarity. The GCAA said that it will resume scheduled and unscheduled flights between the two countries, in coordination with the civil aviation authorities and national carriers in the UAE.
 
Khalid Abdullah Belhoul, Undersecretary of the UAE Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, has announced that the UAE will begin to end all measures taken against Qatar according to the statement issued on 5th June 2017, following the signing of the Al-Ula Declaration.

The reports also have it that the UAE is ready to do everything possible to work with Qatar and resolve every outstanding issue.
