UK Prime Minister Boris Johnson has vowed to enforce travel bans on travelers. The bans will include leaving the UK for holidays, at airports and ports.
Boris Johnson says Holidaymakers will be ordered to return home.
According to him, it is illegal to leave home to travel abroad for leisure purposes.
"I want to make it clear that under the stay at home regulations, it is illegal to leave home to travel abroad for leisure purposes and we will enforce this at ports and airports by asking people why they are leaving and instructing them to return home if they do not have a valid reason to travel." The PM says.
The PM also announced new border restrictions for travelers arriving in the UK from certain countries.
The UK has confirmed 10 days mandatory hotel quarantine for travelers from 22 countries. Travelers from the 22 countries which comprise South Africa, Portugal, and South American Counties are generally refused entry but those who cannot be refused entry would be met at the border and escorted directly to a government-mandated quarantine facility.
