British Airways May Exempt Vaccinated Travelers From Travel Restrictions

British Airways has pleaded for the vaccinated to be able to travel without restrictions.

Sean Doyle, British Airways Chief Executive, has called on the power that is to allow those who have had the vaccine to be able to travel without restrictions.

While talking on the matter, Sean Doyle says: “I think people who’ve been vaccinated should be able to travel without restriction. Those who have not been vaccinated should be able to travel with a negative test result”.

Doyle’s warmly-received comments will undoubtedly put pressure on the British government, who will be meeting in April to announce how and when non-essential travel in and out of the UK will be able to resume. UK's Prime Minister Boris Johnson had earlier announced that the restrictions on non-essential travels will have to stay until at least May17th.

The vaccine-related freedom which allows travelers to travel without having to quarantine is currently being called for by British Airways, as it is already in operation in many destinations around the world.

Meanwhile, the aviation industry has challenged the CDC for refusing to grant the vaccinated free access to travel. Saying, the vaccine will help the struggling travel industry recovers from the losses.
