Qatar Airways says is planning to increase its weekly flights from Doha to 1,200 and will cover more that than 140 destinations starting from July 2021.

According to the carrier, Sharjah is going to be an alternative gateway to and from Dubai and other cities in the United Arab Emirates.

The Doha-based operator which will be operating two daily flights to and from Lagos, Nigeria starting July 1, says it will be resuming flight operations to Sharjah on the same day, with one daily flight. The Sharjah services will be operated by the airline's Boeing 787 Dreamliner featuring 22 seats in first class and 232 seats in the Economy cabin.

Qatar’s flagship airline stated in a statement that "the restart of operations will enable passengers flying to and from Sharjah to benefit from the airline's extensive international network in Asia, Africa, Australia, and the Americas, which currently stands at over 130 destinations with plans to increase to more than 1,200 weekly flights to over 140 destinations by the end of July.”
