No fewer than 23 passengers have been arrested at the airport over the Covid-19 tests certificate.
The 23 passengers who were said to be on a United Airlines flight from Tel Aviv, Israel to New York, United States on Wednesday 11, August were all removed from the flight after the officials discovered their COVID-19 test results were fake.
It was gathered that the staff informed health authorities at Ben Gurion International Airport of their suspicions that the test results they carried were fake. All 23 passengers were arrested and detained before being fined and released on bail.
The reports also have it that United Airlines is believed to have contacted the Israeli Police regarding their suspicions before the police contacted the Health Ministry to check the claims. The Health Ministry discovered the test certificates were forged before the police arrested all passengers involved and their details have been forwarded to the U.S authorities.
