EMIRATES: All Transit Passengers Will Be Airlifted

A statement released by the National Emergency Crisis and Disasters Management Authority (NCEMA), in the United Arab Emirates says that the UAE will only allow passengers from all countries to transit through the airports starting from August 5, provided that the situation of the pandemic remains satisfactory and the passenger is fully vaccinated.

NCEMA pointed that the UAE airports will assign a special lounge for transit passengers with all Covid-19 precautionary measures to ensure the safety of all travelers.

He added that “Travel will also resume for transit passengers from all countries from which transit passengers were previously banned, provided that the traveler’s last destination is accepted, and a laboratory PCR test is submitted within 72 hours from the time of departure. The country’s airports will allocate special lounges for transit passengers while taking all precautionary and preventive measures.”

Any stranded UAE residents from any of the 6 countries from where passenger entry is suspended can now return to the emirates from August 5, the NCEMA says.

Those with valid residency visas who have received both doses of a Covid-19 vaccine in the UAE are among the new categories that will be allowed to travel to the Emirates.

Passengers must have received the second vaccine dose at least 14 days before their travel dates and must hold the certificates as proves. It re-emphasized.
