Qatar Airways on Sunday 8 August begins to airlift every passenger to the United Kingdom.
This follows the UK government's decision to include Qatar on its amber list. The Middle Eastern country on 8 August joined India, Bahrain, and the United Arab Emirates on the UK's amber list.
Qatar Airways which has not been able to fly passengers other than British passport carriers to the UK will now be able to airlift all categories of passengers from Nigeria (Lagos and Abuja) and all its travel networks via Doha to the UK.
Unvaccinated passengers arriving from amber list countries have to take a test within three days before their flight and take 2nd and 8th-day tests after arrival. Passengers also have to home quarantine for ten days unless they pay for an extra test to release the test on day five.
However, passengers who are fully vaccinated do not need to home quarantine or take the day eight test.
