The Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA) has confirmed that international travellers from across the world can now visit the country as of September 7, 2021.
This comes up after weeks of uncertainty, as regions across Canada grapple with the 4th wave of coronavirus pandemic.
According to the CBSA, foreign travellers will be able to enter Canada from September 7, 2021, without the need to quarantine for 14 days.
The agency stated that "beginning September 7, foreign nationals who are fully vaccinated with approved Covid-19 vaccines will be eligible to enter Canada for non-essential travel."
However, the Canadian government has said that travellers planning a visit to Canada must meet some basic requirements.
These are: Must be asymptomatic. In other words, must not show any symptoms.
Must have a verified negative test result taken within 72 hours of their departure.
Must be fully vaccinated, using a Health Canada approved vaccine.
Must submit all requirements via official Canada services and channels.
Travellers will certainly present a negligible risk to public health systems by meeting all these requirements. Canada authority says.
