Nigeria - Dubai Travel Update

Dubai authorities have restated that it is not possible to travel directly from Nigeria and some other countries to Dubai yet.

The national carrier of the UAE, Emirates Airline made this known through its official website. saying, "traveling is not currently possible for travelers flying directly from Nigeria and Bangladesh to Dubai as their final destination."

The carrier re-emphasized that: "For passengers traveling to Dubai as their final destination from Nigeria, Bangladesh, Vietnam, Zambia, and Indonesia, travel is not currently possible as there are no rapid PCR testing facilities at the airports."

One of the major requirements for travel from the banned countries to Dubai is a rapid PCR test which must be done 6 hours before departure. But the requirements are not available at the airport of the banned countries.

The carrier added that all transit passengers must complete all the requirements of their final destinations.

In another development, Nigeria - UAE flights resumption has been extended to 19th September 2021 due to lack of rapid PCR testing facilities at the airports.

The airline says that the extension of the resumption date was in line with the Government directives and issued to all airline operators flying Nigeria - UAE route.

Customers who have been to or connect through Nigeria in the last 14 days will not be permitted on any Emirates flights bound for Dubai.
