Kenya Airways has confirmed the resumption of Lagos - Dubai flight operation services for both tourist and residence visa holders.
A memo released by the airline, signed by the sales manager of the company and sent to the travel practitioners across the country stated that: "Kenya Airways has continued to service all her online destinations in line with the different country’s Covid-19 protocols amongst which is the Dubai, UAE."
It was further stated that "the airlifting of Nigerians to the UAE has continued following the country’s entry requirements which are constantly evolving. Kenya Airways will continue to follow the requirements for airlifting all transit passengers through our hub in Nairobi, Kenya to their different destinations."
However, there are conditions to be met by the passengers who which to board Kenya Airways from Nigeria and other restricted countries to the UAE. Passengers departing from such countries must hold a negative PCR test result conducted within 48 hours prior to departure (with a QR code), and a Rapid PCR test rest done within 6 hours prior to departure. This includes passengers departing from Nigeria, Bangladesh, Ethiopia, India, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, South Africa, Uganda, Vietnam, and Zambia. The airline stated through its official website.
It added that passengers who are returning residents of the UAE are also required to hold an official vaccine certificate confirming they were fully vaccinated against Covid-19 at least 14 days prior to their arrival.
