Saudi Arabia Airlines Resumes Nigeria Fight Operations

Saudia, the Saudi Arabian Airlines has announced the commencement of full flight operations to Nigeria at the Mallam Aminu Kano International Airport Kano. This follows the resumption of international flights at the airport.


Dalhatu Usmann, the President, Kano Chamber of Commerce, industry, Mines, and Agriculture (KACIMMA) described the development as a major economic landmark while speaking at the ceremony marking the exercise.

Accroding to him, “The stoppage of international flights at the airport was, sincerely speaking, a great setback to the business community of Kano State.”

“Our business people in Kano State encountered serious challenges, but now with the resumption of the flights, especially from Kano to Saudi Arabia, more opportunities will come our way and the economy would be boosted.”

Dalhatu Usmann appreciated the effort of Federal Government in making sure that International flights resumes back to the airport, adding that the development will no doubt have a positive impact on the business activities in the state.

According to Alhaji Khalid Ali Ahamad Adamawi who spoke shortly after the Head of the Consular Mission in Kano State says, the resumption would give intending pilgrims the opportunity to travel to the Holy land in Saudi Arabia.

"The facilities at the airport is of high quality which would definitely facilitate a hitch free, operations as the carrier plans three weekly flight services from Kano to the Holy land." He stated.

"This is a clear demonstration of Nigerian government’s commitment towards a successful resumption of the suspended flight operations." Alhaji Khalid added.
