The United Kingdom government has reintroduced temporary requirements for entrance into the U.K.
The new rule that came into effect on Tuesday, 30th November will require arriving passengers to self isolate upon arriving in the UK to help prevent the spread of omicron, the new variant of Covid-19.
Every international arrival must now take a day 2 PCR test in the U.K. and must self-isolate until they receive a negative test result.
Travelers who have come into contact with a suspected omicron case must self-isolate and will be contacted by the NHS Test and Trace, (a body that tracks Covid-19 with the intent to prevent its spread).
Travelers must first isolate themselves in their hotel while waiting for their PCR test results.
