After much anticipation and long waiting, The United Arab Emirates (UAE) national carrier, Emirates Airline has finally fixed a date it will resume Dubai-Lagos and Abuja flight operations.
The Airline on Thursday 2nd December confirmed that the much-awaited Emirates flight between Dubai and Lagos/Abuja will be resuming on December 5, 2021.
According to the airline's representative in a statement, "we are pleased to inform you that effective from 5th December 2021, we will resume operations of our flights (EK783/784 and EK785/786) connecting Lagos and Abuja to Dubai respectively.
The carrier has also released some rules that must be followed by the passengers planning a trip with Emirates Airline from Nigeria.
Passengers departing from Nigeria are required to present a negative Covid-19 Test certificate that is issued from an approved laboratory within the valid time frame of 72 hours from the time of collecting the sample and from an approved health service, which uses a QR code System.
They are to take a PCR test upon arrival at Dubai Airports (for DXB bound passengers only).
They must present all required documentation and tests results applicable to their destinations and a negative Covid-19 Test certificate that is issued from an approved laboratory within the valid time frame of 72 hours from the time of collecting the sample and from an approved health service, which use QR code System.
A rapid PCR test at the airport is no longer required as the test will be conducted in Dubai upon arrival.
